LAURA LEVY GROUP - PLEASE SUPPORT LEAF COVID-19 RESPONSE

Please join Emily Jenkins Dusel and me in helping LEAF provide meals and services to the most vulnerable in Lyons. LEAF offers a human services safety net to people in need in the Greater Lyons area. You may remember that Emily was one of the founders of LEAF and its first Executive Director. She feels this type of donation is the best thing we can do right now.

During this time of "social distancing" it can be even more difficult for our vulnerable community to get food, supplies and support.

Meals on Wheels clients will continue to receive meals. LEAF will also provide "5 shelf-stable meals + snacks" kits to all clients for use in the event of illness and quarantine, or if our meal supply from Longmont Meals on Wheels is temporarily disrupted. These meal kits cost $10. Will you donate today to help LEAF? Laura Levy Group at Coldwell Banker Global Luxury will match your donation up to 200 meal kits ($2,000). We made a donation for half of that to get this ball rolling.

$10 donation pays for 1 meal kit ... Donate enough for one or as many as you can afford. All funds go directly to LEAF from Facebook.

During times of crisis we rely on our responders and non-profits greatly. Please help LEAF weather this latest storm. We really hope to blow past our goal because these kinds of events can create long-term strain on our valued safety net organizations. Let's do this, Lyons! :)

Relief fund for Lyons artists & musicians

COVID-19 Relief Fund for Lyons Artists & Musicians.

Lyons, Colorado is a creative town. We're a music town. "Nashville of the Rockies." Whether it's a casual concert at Sandstone Park, a bluegrass jam at Oskars, a new art show at the Stone Cup, live music on a Sunday evening at the Fork, the Gospel set at Planet Bluegrass or an unforgettable Rave 2 the Grave in the Wildflower Pavilion... our local artists help define our culture and feed our collective souls.

Like many other segments of our society, the covid-19 crisis has brought economic ruin on our local and regional music and art scene. With the closures of restaurants, galleries and cancellations of concerts, weddings and events, many of our beloved artists find themselves suddenly without income and they may not qualify for some of the state and federal support that is available to others.

We would like to help and so we've partnered with LEAF, Lyons Emergency & Assistance Fund to create a new specialized fund for this creative and integral part of our community.

100% of the funds raised from this new fund will go directly to local working musicians and artists who have experienced significant income loss, who have exhausted other channels for support, and who find themselves in sincere need of help.

We hope to raise enough funds to make meaningful "gig grants" in the near future. The more we raise... the larger the individual grant awards. The guidelines will be simple to navigate and LEAF will administer these grants.

The Lyons Share: A Small Business Economic Relief Fund

The Lyons Community Foundation (LCF) is launching an emergency response fund to address the economic crisis affecting Lyons local businesses due to the COVID19 virus and the resulting business closures. In coordination with the St. Vrain Market (SVM), the "Lyons Share" fund is designed to provide immediate economic aid to local small businesses.

The St. Vrain Market, deemed by local, state and federal government as an essential business and open daily, will initially seed this fund with a $10K contribution, matched by LCF. Funds will continue to accumulate through ongoing contributions from St. Vrain Market operating proceeds as well as private donations from individuals and organizations interested in contributing to the survival of Lyons businesses by donating to the fund through LCF.

Economic aid grants of up to $1000 each will be made eligible to business with a registered Lyons business license. Funds may be used to pay rent, employees or other operating expenses. Applications are available at www.lyonscf.org. Deadline for the first round of submissions is April 20, with the first round of grants awarded on May 1.

The Lyons Community Foundation and St. Vrain Market will continue to support Lyons-area critical human service needs through the food pantry and others avenues impacting those most vulnerable in our community.

Lyons virtual Tip Jar

The state of Colorado has ordered all bars, restaurants, and other non-essential businesses to shutter. Many of our friends and neighbors depend on tips to make ends meet. This virtual tip jar is for local service industry staff - employees at bars, restaurants, cafes, etc - to post their Venmo or Paypal information so that customers, neighbors, and Lyons community members can continue to support them.

Many of us would regularly be patronizing bars, cafes, restaurants, and other businesses that have been ordered closed. Even if you are socially isolating, you can help to support our local service industry staff. Consider sending a "tip" to your favorite bartender, server, massage therapist, barista. Use the google sheet linked below to find their Venmo/Paypal info. Note that you can sort by each column heading or use "ctrl+f" to find the person you are looking for by name or place of employment. If you don't see your favorite service industry folks listed, encourage them to come and fill out the form (see below). Please circulate widely.

The information on this list is self-reported by members of the community and this information is provided "as is". Lyons Virtual Tip Jar does not monitor or verify accuracy of the information on this list, and makes no representations or warranties regarding this list. Individuals who wish to send a tip are encouraged to independently verify the legitimacy of the recipient of the tip.
